If I wanted to drive to Madison on Saturday, where do I go and where do I park? |
I know it won't be near the capitol, but where could I leave my car for some hours?

1. Last weekend, you could find a spot in the neighborhoods around the Capitol. |
If you don't want to risk that, though, park at West Towne or East Towne Mall and take the bus in. You can get a bus schedule on the web.

4. Some of the parking ramps down State St might have spots if you arrive early |
We parked in Frances/Lake St last week and had to search, but found a spot after about 5 minutes. Shuttle from the mall is sounding like the best idea to me.

5. I'll check out the East Towne Mall most likely. Thanks for the tips. |
There were a couple I couldn't see though.

6. We used this shuttle 3 times last week... |
and it worked out very well. The wait was never very long, despite the fact that the line was. Drop-off point is a block from the Capitol. It's very convenient.

7. I drove in E. Washington to Baldwin-right turn to Tenney Park |
That put me about 1 mile from the Square, but on a bus line to the Square.
There is an enclosed bus shelter on E. Johnston St. about 300 ft east of Baldwin.

8. We parked at East Towne Mall |
We parked at East Towne mall last Saturday and it worked well. Budget some time for waiting in line for a shuttle though. The line was pretty long. But there were a TON of busses running the route.
