canvass approach to recall ~10 sigs/hour Wi Sen Dist 28

Appear that many (most?) meet ups post a big sign
at a major intersection to collect sigs.

I did door to door canvassing to day. Got 20 sigs
from about noon to 2:30pm (went around 3 city blocks).
I think I'm a goodcanvasser, someone should "do the math", ie how
many man hours is this going to take.

It was fun when one household netted my three sigs!

The door to door work is enriching - you get a snip
of others lives. Some conversations are engaging.
If they were clearly opposed I encouraged a bit of
venting, promising not to respond.

I was at 60th and Grange from about 12:00 to 1:00 today and during that hour, I guess we got 30 or so signatures. There were 6 of us, spread out up and down 60th street. We got a lot of positive response from drivers-by too.

We did get some negative responses though. One fellow rolled down his window and delivered a f-bomb laden diatribe that would have made Bill O'Reilly proud. Even after he saw my 4-year old daughter was right there he didn't slow down a bit. But that was just one guy. The positive to negative ratio was super encouraging. Probably 3-4 thumbs-up to every one thumbs-down.

So, rock and roll and keep up the good work!

2. How many canvassers are out statewide? Get those thousands of protesters out canvassing for sigs.

5. At New Dublin events yesterday

The recall crew to get rid of some Koch stooge slob named Olson was looking sharp and working the crowd hard. Was sorry I was out of my district and couldn't sign the recall petition.
