Why were there Recall Walker Petitoners in Outpost (in Mke., on Capitol Dr.) Oct. 2nd?

Hi all!

I was talking with my wife today and mentioned the 11/15 recall start date. Boy was I surprised when she told me that there were guys with a Recall Walker booth set up at Outpost on Capitol Dr. collecting signatures way back on Oct. 2 (She remembers the date because I was out running the Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon.)

Does anyone know anything about this? I thought maybe they may have been just getting volunteer information, or collecting "pledges to sign" but I still wonder if they were actually some Repub. dirty-tricksters, getting folks to THINK they've already signed the recall petition.

Thanks for any information. This is really eating me up.

We been collecting pledges for months to form a database of people willing to sign the Walker Recall petition. What was the name of the group?
