Ontario Provincial Police officers — “shocked” at how Rahim Jaffer’s case was handled by the Ontario atttorney-general’s office — want to know why the drunk driving and cocaine possession charges they laid against the embattled former MP were dropped.
“Our members conducted a thorough, professional and detailed investigation,” Karl Walsh, president of the Ontario Provincial Police Association, said in a statement Thursday. “They were prepared to have their evidence tested at court but were never given the opportunity.”
