Ian Bush's mother drops RCMP lawsuit

The mother of a B.C. man who was shot dead in an RCMP detachment in northern B.C. four years ago has dropped her lawsuit against the force because of changes made by the RCMP in recent years.

Linda Bush said she was dropping her lawsuit against the RCMP in connection with the death of her son, Ian Bush, at a news conference held with the RCMP Wednesday morning in Vancouver.

Bush, 22, was shot in the back of the head at the RCMP detachment in Houston shortly after he was arrested for having an open beer at a hockey game in October 2005.
