How many more elections does Harper have? |
|
He's had three goes at it, never substantially increasing his parties vote percentage. How long until the knives start coming out from within the con party?

Eventually people within the conservative party are going to start asking whether they can do better than a minority government with someone other than harper at the helm.

I think most CPC members know that the reason they can't get a majority is that their views represent less than a third of Canadians.
They also know that as long as the two-thirds majority split their votes between 4 parties, then they can and will form minority governments.
And they know that Harper has shown they way to how they can make profound changes to Canada without a majority, and without passing a single piece of legislation. if you have control over PMO, budgets, appointments and agencies you can profoundly change Canada.
So they're quite happy with the status quo.

This is something that opponents of proportional representation who are not right-wing fail to grasp.
