1. Oh crap, I have a great deal of respect for Mr. Margolis... |
|
I would hope another paper, say the Globe and Mail or the Toronto Star, would jump at the chance to publish his columns.
The Sun has sucked for a very long time and the ONLY time I would go there was to read Mr. Margolis, there is certainly NO reason to visit that site anymore.

I have read him elsewhere, and he is always a delight. He actually knows what he's talking about.
I really hope someone else picks him up. Greg Weston as well.

4. Ahhh, I don't always agree with Mr. Weston but, yes, he is well... |
|
worth reading. He has a no-holds barred approach I find quite refreshing and a perspective on issues I would not have thought about otherwise.

8. His columns on the G20 were some of his I had read... |
|
and learned quite a bit about the boondoggle being played, fake lakes et al, and the egregious costs to us, the taxpayers for a group of leaders to sit around and kibbitz about issues they had already decided previous to their 'summit'.
He did a phenomenal job getting the facts out about it and I have little doubt that has something to do with his 'dismissal' from the Sun. Heaven forfend the facts be given to the public, that cannot be allowed it seems.

It seems a great many things are no longer allowed to be spoken.

10. Well, we do know harper admires bush and the policies put into place... |
|
during his regime so it stands to reason, sadly for Canadians, he will do his utmost to import them into Canada. Canadians, imo, need to wake up and see the danger, no longer buy into the belief that minority conservative governments are 'placeholders' and unable to do any real damage. harper and his cabal have proved that wrong time and time again.

12. Yes, the damage is immense. |

It'll take years to sort all this out.

They lost one of their few decent columnists. I actually read this paper because I like Sudoku and the sports coverage isn't bad. There's also a lot of good satire in there, especially from Coren, Snobelen, and Worthington.
