The Harper government has once again delayed implementation of regulations that police say they need to quickly trace guns used in crimes.
One day before the regulations were to have come into force, the government quietly posted a notice saying they've been postponed until Dec. 1, 2012.
This is the third time the Harper government has delayed the firearms marking regulations, which were originally supposed to go into effect in April of 2006.
Gun enthusiasts are openly hoping they'll be put off repeatedly until such time as Prime Minister Stephen Harper can win a majority and scrap them altogether.
