I just watched Jack Layton's funeral

Wow! Just wow. Stephen Lewis garnered a standing ovation of stating that Jack's final letter to Canada represented a manifesto of Social Democracy in Canada.

He got a overwhelming standing ovation - even Prime Minister Harper stood and clapped. Heck, even John Baird - looking rather surprised at his collegues -stood and clapped.

Amazing tribute and send off.

Canada is forever changed today.

1. Stephen Lewis is a national treasure.

He was at his best today. Great job getting Harper to 'stand up' for social democracy. Great job reminding people that all the good that Layton accomplished for the most part, was because of his social democratic values.

Great soundtrack. Lefties give good funeral!!
