Why the UK Parliament is having recesss after recess. After summer , they sit for a couple of weeks and thne break time again. Even school children don't get such breaks.

with all the additional jobs that they hold that they need that extra time off. (Cynical reason)
Other reason, much of Parliamentary time is set by tradition (both old and new). There is a long summer break, followed by the a short term in Autumn for laying of bills and closure for conference season.
