Give that this is Cameron's Trojan hores to privatise the health service, you would imagine he would have chosen a Rolls Royce, rather than a TR7 with a blown head gasket. Is this really the best they have?

what was the alternative to the mangagement of the hospital being taken away from the Health Trust ? Replacing the Health Trust ?
I can't relate to that area. West Herts Trust has got 3 hospitals : Watford, St Albans, and Hemel Hempstead. Aside from those we chose where we go - can even use BUPA at Bushey if we want to.

The NHS have gone through 60 years and a variety of problems without giving hospitals to for-profit organizations to run, so I see no need for them to start now.
I've spent much of my life in either London (capital of the UK for hospitals as well as otherwise) or Oxford (the John Radcliffe and associated hospitals) so never been in that situation; but I definitely wouldn't like to be.
