Any other Vegetarians here in the Oz forum? |
|
Just curious if any other Aussie DUers eat meat (not that I think you're bad if you do.) I have been for a while now and I find I feel much healthier now than when I did eat meat...

My husband is vegetarian, so when we married I learned to cook vegetarian dishes. But I served meat to our children once a week so they wouldn't miss out on B vitamins, and there are a couple of favourites of theirs that have survived on our menu. Husband just has something else.
There are some things I won't touch at any price, such as veal or pork because they're intensively farmed, and I don't believe in that, and when I do serve meat I try to get organic whenever possible, on health and humanitarian grounds. I'm against intensive farming, from hens to cows, I believe all farm animals should eat only their natural diet, and I'm against giving antiobiotics and growth hormones to animals - for their sake and ours.
