There is a huge screen erected at the Opera House, and in Leichhardt, which has a huge Italian community, restaurants in Norton Street, the main restaurant area, have been granted temporary 24-hour licences so they can screen the matches for fans.
On Tuesday when Italy plays Australia in the second round, traffic in Leichhardt will be shut down between midnight and 5.0 a.m, and the match will be televised on a big screen outdoors. Kick-off is at 1.0 a.m. Sydney time.

While I've seen one or two cars at home driving round with those Socceroo flags on them, there were shitloads of them in Sydney this weekend...
