The recent civil unrest and political shifts in East Timor have been traumatic and unsettling for the people of this newly independent nation.
To help understand what impact the recent unrest has had on Union Aid Abroad - APHEDA's partner organisations,
Elisabeth Lino de Araujo, the Office Manager from the East Timor office, will be visiting Australia for 10 days. She will be speaking in Sydney and in Melbourne.
SYDNEY Join Union Aid Abroad - APHEDA, Unions NSW and AID/WATCH in Sydney for a discussion and analysis about the possible reasons underlying the conflict, practical steps forward for Timorese people in the wake of the unrest, and how Australians can help.
