"The Kenyan was invited to complete disability studies in America five years ago but he chose Australia instead.
"Flinders University professor Brian Matthews says Dr Abdi was an outstanding student.
"He completed his PhD in a quicker time than any other PhD student I've known, and most of those, you know, are not blind," he said."
http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2009/05/12/2567851.htmI feel as if I've gone to sleep for a long time and woken up to find that John Howard has been elected again.
This man is clearly not going to be a drain on the community; far from it, he has a great deal to contribute. That
is what should determine his right to stay, in a just society.
I despair. Bureaucracy never changes, no matter who's in power.
