Former Australian Democrats Senator, Andrew Bartlett, has now joined the Greens and will contest the next Federal
election as a Greens candidate for the House of Representatives.
Given that Labor's position on climate change action isn't much better than the Coalition's (the main difference
seems to be that at least Labor acknowledges that humans are having an effect on global warming), it's vital for
Australia's position on global warming that the Greens increase their Senate numbers in the next election, if not
hold the balance of power.
Andrew Bartlett already has a profile in Federal politics and obviously has local support, so his chances have to
be fairly good.
