every time Australia makes a contribution through foreign aid or disaster relief, recipients thank the Australian government, as if the donation was coming out of their pockets. It's probably conventional pollie contra, but shouldn't the recipients be thanking the citizens and taxpayers of the donating country for their goodwill?
