From Kevin Zeese of TrueVote MD
There is a significant effort in Annapolis to undo all of the progress we have made in recent years.
The chair of the Senate Subcommittee on Ethics and Elections, Roy Dyson, is leading the effort to stop the transition to paper ballots.
Roy Dyson,
http://www.msa.md.gov/msa/mdmanual/05sen/html/msa02013.html, represents portions of Calvert, Charles and St. Mary's Counties.
While it is good to hear from voters across the state -- it is especially important for him to hear from voters from his district. So, if you know people in those areas please forward this alert to them and tell them how important their voice is right now. They really can make a difference by calling Sen. Dyson today.
The message is:- Transition to paper ballot based voting with optical scan machines should not be slowed.
- The optical scan system will immediately save Maryland millions of dollars annually.
- This has been resolved by a unanimous vote of the legislature, why re-open this issue when it is behind us
.
Call now. His numbers are 410-841-3673, 301-858-3673 or 1-800-492-7122, ext. 3673.
And, take action below with the click and send letter as well.
Thanks for your support and action.
Some have asked for Sen. Dyson's email addressSenator Dyson: roy.dyson@senate.state.md.us
I understand that when you call you will be able to state your case, then they ask for name and address. Also, it sounds like some will get an answering machine, I suspect because they are starting to get a steady stream of calls. I hope people keep it up.
