The increase in turnout from 2000 to 2004 was officially a higher percentage than the percentage from 2004 to 2008.
IIRC, the 00-04 %> was @ 16%. And then from 04-08 was just 4%?

And I wonder if many stayed home as a result. Dem and Repubs, alike.
Meanwhile, I'm merely guessing that voter suppression was about the same as ever.
