Right now I'm sipping a not-bad (but cheap) Malbec. If it were warmer out, I'd probably be drinking a local IPA called Hurricane Kitty, very hoppy. (I like a lot of brown ales, too -- I like most styles of beer that don't resemble Budweiser -- but I don't think I've tried Bad Penny.) And if it were colder out, maybe some Talisker, which is a peaty whisky not as aggressive as Laphroaig. It would be expensive, but I drink very little of it.
ETA: A mutual acquaintance introduced me to Mount Gay Rum, but I'm just not so much a rum drinker, I guess. Then again, I never used to like whisky. Or sushi. And I used to be unable to walk away from chocolate. Everything changes....
