But I don't have time to write more, there's a whole stack of books I need to get through.

2. Which brings out another question , what is the typical or "normal" reading speed... |
|
Measured in Pages per Hour.
Having ADHD , I couldn't bring myself to more than 30-40 pages an hour.

i estimate about 60 pages/hour and i consider myself a fast reader to the point where it's a nuisance (running out of reading material on long flights for instance)
i'm guessing you're too hard on yourself

4. With me it varies widely. |
|
If I'm not particularly interested in what I'm reading, I can slow down to 10 pages per hour (with about 5% comprehension and constant flipping back and forth to pick up stuff my eyes have seen but my brain hasn't). If I'm engrossed in a well-written story, however, I can burn through 100 pages in no time. It doesn't even feel like reading, more like watching a movie in my mind.

5. Indeed - it's a great writer who draws the reader into the story with |
|
ease. I absolutely love it when I pick a book up that I can't put down. Rare gems.

8. About 60 pages an hour |

Though it depends on font size and the writer. A good author writes so you'll want to continue reading. I always seem to have a stack from the library. Though when travelling, I tend to nurse my reads, since english books aren't readily available.

I have stacks of books sitting in my bedroom, unread. I don't know when I'll get to them.
