I just finished Ten Days in the Hills....

A marvelous book that takes a real hard look at America right after the start of the current war in Iraq...

Jane Smiley has developed an interesting array of characters and is able to jump in and out of a POV without losing the basic feel of the novel...

It is moving, powerful and has some of the best ruminations about the evolving early 21st century socio-political ethos I have yet to read...

Read it and weep, laugh, kick something and most all, learn a little bit more about yourself and this great country of ours...
