tourist and the delicate eco balance in Florida. Love Hiaasen.
If I had to guess which book, it would be "Tourist Season." Know it has tourists and plastic alligators in the plot line. Just a thought.

But the one that you're probably asking about is what others here have already said: Tourist Season. Most people would identify this book above the others when it comes to gators simply because of the book's cover, though. He has used alligators to finish people off in several (not all) of his books.
On a related note, people sometimes forget the creative way in which Hiaasen did away with a "bad guy" in Native Tongue. Now that was a creative way to use an animal character...
