Just finished reading "A Long Way Down." |
|
It's by Nick Hornby, whom I'd never heard of ....
Terrific read!
It's about four strangers who find themselves all on a roof top, getting ready to commit suicide...
And their subsequent adventures....
Funny in places, very insightful...
I recommend it!

1. I read that recently too. Agree, it was funny in places. |
|
Jess was awfully snarky and rude and if I'd been the other characters I'd have dumped her after the crisis was over. But overall, it was worth the read.

2. Yes! I read that a couple of years ago. |
|
I really enjoyed it, even though it was a heavy duty topic.
I think I'v read all Nick Hornby's books, or nearly all. He's great.

I was told that "High Fidelity" is a book that I'd enjoy...

"About a Boy" and "How to be Good" a try if you like Hornby. :hi:
