The Garden of Forking Paths & The Quixote of Pierre Menard are both wonderful and strange, but {i]Funes the Memoriousis the one I think of (I won't say remember) most often.

1. The Library of Babel and The Circular Ruin are titles I remember |
|
but haven't read Borges for many years -- what I read back then became an organic part of mental processes since. Funes the Memorious I do remember, in his darkened room, trying to avoid more memories.

but for some reason, I've been thinking about Tlon, Uqbar, Orbis Tertius recently.

5. Shout Out To My Peeps; Borges, Kafka & The Kindle |
|
I don't know what I clicked on to get here, but I'm sure glad I found this forum--even though I had expected to return to the general discussion on the presidency.
I've read just enough Borges to have decided to take him on after I have finished reading Kafka's short stories and fragments in my study of modern fabulists. Don't get me wrong, I'm no academic. I hate to read works of art under deadlines.
Does anyone here own a Kindle?

Oh wait a minute... Borges. Got it.
Then my two picks would be The Immortal and Funes the Memorious.
