AVALANCHE by Patrick F. McManus |
|
This is the 2nd book by this author, the first was THE BLIGHT WAY, which I read last week.
It's not great literature, but nicely written, lots of subtle humor, about Sheriff Bo Tully in Idaho. I recommend both books, and a new one is coming out in a couple of months.
I like this type of book and would like suggestions on detective/police stories that have some humor in them. THanks in advance...

1. Pat McManus must have at least twenty books out by now. |
|
He's a local hero here in North Idaho and Eastern Washington

2. He's only written two mysteries that I can see... |
|
The others are different and I don't think my library has any of them. The third is due maybe in October...
I like him really well...
I get so worked up over the health care bill I need to get away from suspense and serial killers - I like light hearted detectives like Tully.

You are correct sir - he has branched into mystery writing. None the less, his other books are filled with truly wonderful work.

3. get the interlibrary loan program working for you then |
|
or you'll never understand the modified stationary panic and it's proper application in certain crisis situations.

7. I've always loved his humor writing |
|
I've got almost all of his collections of humor stories, but I haven't read either of his novels. I'm glad that you've enjoyed them, though, and hopefully I'll get a chance to one of these days :hi:
