Why did I not discover Diana Gabaldon until now? |

Edited on Wed Aug-26-09 08:44 AM by sazemisery
A friend suggested I read Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series since I love George R.R. Martin's Songs of Fire and Ice. I burned through the 627 pages of Outlander and have now read books 2 & 3 (Dragonfly in Amber and Voyager). Will I finish books 4 thru 6 before the 7th comes out in September? Probably.
If you enjoy historical/sci-fi/romance all rolled up in a kilt, then try this series on for size. I find myself thinking is Scottish Brogue. LOL.
edited for speling.

1. I discovered Claire and Jamie about 15 years ago......... |
|
My favorite part was when Claire was asked to impart some wisdom from the future to Jamie's sister and Claire tells her to "Plant potatoes!".

3. Yes! I laughed out loud at that! |

And in Voyager when she gave her last penicillin shot to Ian after he was forced to copulate with Gellis. Claire could not send him home to Jenny with a case of STD's now could she?
And I could go on and on about the Jamie-isms. LOL
