After I saw Albert Brooks on "The Daily Show" the other night, I bought his new book. And...it's so, so good. Yes, he's a comedian and gifted comedy writer, but "2030" isn't a funny book at all. Very interesting ideas...the main theme is how, after cancer has been cured and new drugs being created to prolong life, the younger generation is now completely resentful of the "olds", as they call them, of taking financial care of people living longer and longer...in a country saddled with much, much more debt than now. Do read "2030"...it's a fascinating read (I read it in a space of 24 hours).

2. Not to mention his work on the most excellent, "The Simpsons". |
