Anyone else buy "Shroud of the Thwacker" by Chris Elliott? |
Haven't had too much time to read it, but I met him at a book signing in Ann Arbor. So far what I have read is very funny.

3. He was a nice guy and very funny in person |
He read a bit from his book, answered questions from fans and signed whatever shit people had. He was funny. There was a guy sitting right front and center at the reading who was a little too serious about his fandom who provided a perfect comic foil for a couple of jokes that were funny without being too mean.

5. I always assumed his act on Letterman was just that, an act. |
Glad to hear it verified.
I haven't read the book, but I did see Cabin Boy, and I loved it! Sue me. :)

6. Yeah. He wasn't "on" during the appearance |
He didn't come out and act like some wacky character. He was Chirs Elliot, the person, talking about his comedy.

7. I'm tempted, but I'll probably wait for the paperback. |
The jacket notes hooked me.
