My first novel goes to market this week--wish me luck! |
|
My agent liked the revision I worked on all summer, and is submitting the book here and there this week. We're on pins and needles around here. Got to build a shrine or something!

Beyond that, I can't tell you much. But it's a fun read, and a real departure from what I've spent the last fifteen years doing. Most of my writing life has been spent writing and publishing poetry.

22. I'm a writer too. Working on a YA fantasy fiction book right now. |
|
When your book is out, please post the title here so DUers can support it.
Best wishes on a screaming success!

I have a self-imposed deadline to finish my first novel by the end of the year. Am finding out a lot of info about agents, editors, book proposals, query letters, etc., etc. Just a question: Are you in a writers group or critique group? Lots of new authors say they're invaluable. Also learning about marketing--definitely a part of the authors' responsibility nowadays, it seems.
Best wishes! Keep us posted.

17. Thanks--we're hoping for a reasonably quick sale |

and an editor who doesn't want major changes.

I usually borrow books from the library but would be proud to buy a book from a fellow DUer. Let us know and congratulations!
