Love and Other Possible Pursuits by Ayelet Waldman |
|
I just finished this book yesterday, by Ayelet Waldman (who I learned after reading the book is married to Michael Chabon). I really, really enjoyed it. I had read a good review on Salon, so even though the subject matter sounded a bit like one of those icky depressing stories with a dramatic picture of a beautiful woman staring off forelornly on the beach, I picked it up. I thought it was just perfect; funny, beautiful, but mostly just realistic. The dialogue was real -- maybe the most realistic I've ever read.
Has anyone else had a chance to read Love and Other Possible Pursuits yet?

4. I gave the wrong name! |

I just wrote back to you on the Travel board, too! Great minds!
I just wanted to clarify that it's called "love and other IMpossible pursuits". Eleny just pointed out my wrongness below your post. I don't have any idea why I had decided on possible pursuits as the title!

Thanks for that! I'll try and edit the other post.
I have had it in my head that it was Possible Pursuits, but you're right! I did my goo-diligence (i just visited Urbandictionary.com) and sure enough. Impossible Pursuits.

You can still hear it via the KGO station archives. http://www.kgoam810.com/listingsEntry.asp?ID=263588&PT=Archives Click on the 10 P.M. hour. They keep the archives for 24 hours, so you'll have until tonight to listen.
