by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child disappointed me. I liked Relic and Reliquary (though not nearly as much as Relic), but BRIMSTONE was not only a tedious read, it was a letdown at the end. The book was full of red herrings, any one of which, if developed, would have improved it. The red herrings all pointed to the supernatural at work, but at the end, there was a wizard behind the curtain.
Anyone else read it? What did you think of it?

So I read the book that comes after it, FIRST, then Brimstone, so I totally knew many of the plot twists and who the bad guy was. That's the wrong way to read a series.
