I'm enjoying Laura Lippman's 'Tess Monaghan' series. Anyone else? |
|
I'm working my way through her series, one by one. Enjoyable reads. And she seems to get better and better with each one.
Lippman's won the Agatha, Anthony, Edgar, Nero Wolfe, and Shamus awards, so she knows how to write a great mystery novel.
If you like Sue Grafton or Sara Paretsky, then you'll really like Laura Lippman, imho. :hi:

1. That's the one set in Baltimore, right? |
|
I know I've read them. Laura Lippman is WAY better than Sue Grafton, IMO.

2. Yes, Baltimore. It kind of becomes a character in the novels |

if that makes sense. In a good and interesting way.
You get a bit of the sense of the place for certain.
Her official site: www.lauralippman.com has a nice pic of Baltimore in the banner.
Oh--and I also think Lippman is way better than Grafton. I grew tired of the Grafton series, but Lippman's series is getting better as I read them.

5. I've read a couple of her standalones. |

Every Secret Thing and The Power of Three. Both fantastic.
I'll have to dig into the series next.
