i live in Mexico mostly, but last October bought a little house in Brunswick, GA...near Jekyll Island. We are spending the summer here in Georgia..and recently i "discovered Jekyll Islnad" ha..a wonderful place, by the way! So, i went online to check for books on the place...and found a good many, but also came across a book called "The Creature from Jekyll Island" by G. Edward Griffin...which appears to be a book of a whole different color. The lead up discription of the book leads one to believe that it is mainly a book with a very interesting and almost "tin foil hat" political perspective. almost forgot to ask my question..hehe...is anyone familiar with this book?

I know it's about the formation of the Federal Reserve System. It looks like it reads like a novel.
I responded to your post because we, too, just (Jan.) discovered Jekyll Island and were completely smitten--so much so, in fact, that we bought a condo. We will only be using ours in the winter and renting it out the rest of the year to pay the bills.
If you're on the island, check out the bookstore there. The owner is very knowledgeable and recommended a number of good books to me. She also steered me into a mystery series by Virginia Lanier, who is a fascinating story. (Check her out online.) I've only read one book, the first one, but it was a fun read. It was described on the cover as "Sue Grafton meets Michael Malone."
If we manage a visit during the time you're in Brunswick I'd love to meet you (I've never met a live DUer) and find out about living in Mexico.
