I guess it would be classified as a memoir. Title is Why I'm Glad I Had Breast Cancer.
That title has rubbed some people very much the wrong way, unfortunately. It is very descriptive, though. You can read more about at the link which should be in my sig, below.

I ordered it in April and they never sent it. The publisher would always say "next month" or whatever but offered to refund the money if I wanted. I always said I would wait. I finally waited until August and asked what was up and could not get a response. I had two e-mail addresses for the publisher and wrote both of them. I finally wrote and said to please refund my money and could still not get an answer. I eventually contacted the credit card company and got a refund from them.
In case sales are slow maybe the publisher is the problem.

2. I don't know what their problems were |

But they seem to have resolved them. We ordered three copies and got them a week ago. (Ordered the previous week.) A local bookstore ordered a few copies and got them.
I know that the publisher, Wildside, relocated, and that messed everything up. Still, it's astonishing that they didn't even respond to your request for a refund. I'm sorry that you had to go through all of that; thanks for trying to get a copy.
It's now available through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc. They say on their sites that it's in stock and will be mailed in a couple of days. So I'm hoping all the weird problems are finally over.

3. I'm not sure if I can read it. I lost my sister to BC almost 4 years |

ago. I've worked for surgeons who have done an enormous amount of breast cancer surgeries. I'm glad that your wife has made it through as it is a very difficult struggle. One of the women in my book club is a noted breast surgeon here in the SF Bay area. I may decide to pick this book up sometime in the future.
Thanks for the 'heads up'.

4. My sympathies on your loss |

I'm sure it must be very difficult for you to even read about other people's cancer experiences.
I still live in fear that Leonore's cancer will return. I think I'm less upbeat about the future than she is, although that may be due to the difference in our personalities, in general.
