It's about the cholera outbreak in London in 1854. Trust me. It is one of the best books I've read in years. The author talks about everything from bacteria to urban living. Reads like a murder mystery.
If you need a break from politics but still want a little bit of the environment, give it a try.

120 years ago. It was like a murder mystery.
I love those books that take an event, study the characteres involved and the science behind it... and tell a story. Kinda like the Orchid Thief.

I bought "The Family That Couldn't Sleep" for Christmas and boy does it look great. Got it for my SO who doesn't sleep so well and just loves medical stuff. After he reads it, I'll read it. My library took too long ordering it.
