I had decided earlier this year to read at least one biography about each American President. Does anyone know any real good biographies on George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and John F. Kennedy? If anyone has any recommendations on any other presidents I would accept those also. I am mainly looking at policy biographies. I am more concerned with the policies the presidents pushed, but I am willing to read about their personal lives. I am not yet looking for critiques of the former presidents' administrations. At this point I just want to read about facts about the Presidents and their policies.

I know you mostly mentioned the 'heavy hitters' but here are some presidential bios I have enjoyed and would recommend:
Truman by David McCullough John Adams by David McCullough Jouh Quincy Adams: A Public Life, a Private Life by Paul Nagel Lincoln by David Herbert Donald
Not a presidential bio, but one that would give you more than enough insight into the presidency of JFK would be Arthur Schlesinger's book called Robert Kennedy and His Times.
Check C-SPAN's presidential biograpies webpage (I think it is still up) which went along with their series that they did on the presidents in 2000. That series was a real grabber, for my money!
