The "sequel" to "Confessions of An Economic Hit Man"--"A Game as Old as Empire" |
|
Just picked up this book the other day and have read about the first quarter or third of it. Read it if you liked "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man." Not quite as personal a first-person account, but still interesting and loaded with first-hand information (with intro by John Perkins, himself): http://g-ec2.images-amazon.com/images/I/515Qq%2BXiHTL._BO2,204,203,200_PIsitb-dp-500-arrow,TopRight,45,-64_OU01_AA240_SH20_.jpghttp://www.amazon.com/Game-Old-Empire-Economic-Corruption/dp/1576753956/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/103-5277334-9859037?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1185309436&sr=8-1

1. I just got his new book .... but it has a different title. |
|
"The Secret History of the American Empire" - ISBN 978-0-525-95015-8 - published 2007.
I really enjoyed it - but it's not a pick-me-upper; it's a call to action! Basically, it calls for action a la the Rain Forest Action Network (R.A.N.) - publicly embarassing members of the Corporatocracy, and cooperating with them at the same time, once the corporate officials agree to the RAN goal.

Can't wait to get started on that one, too.
