Hi all!
I am looking for a few bios on ex-presidents, specifically Nixon and L.B. Johnson. I have been doing a bit of research and I have found some, but I was wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction for a well-balanced, well-researched account. Thanks in advance!!

1. Robert Caro is probably the definitive biographer of LBJ |

...has 3 huge volumes out on him:
• The Path to Power
• Means of Ascent
• Master of the Senate
For Nixon, I'll have to think on that one.

I've always liked the three books written by Stephen Ambrose:
Nixon: The Education of a Politician (1913-1962) Nixon: The Triumph of a Politician (1962-1972) Nixon: Ruin and Recovery (1973-1990)
Hope this helps...by the way, the second book can be hard to find.

Thanks a lot. I actually just finished a short psychoanalytical bio on him called 'Nixon vs. Nixon' by David Abrahamsen, MD. It's a quick read (215 pgs) and it offers plenty in the way of author's opinion, but I need something more about his life and activities as well as an in-depth look at some of his policies. Thanks for the tip.
