The Authoritarians by Bob Altemeyer

This concise book answered a number of questions that have been bothering me for a long time. Didn't make me feel better.

No excuse not to read as it is free on the internets or pay for printing a lulu.com.

If you wondered who the nutbags were that still support Mr. Evil, Dick Cheney, they are authoritarians. Characteristics of authoritarians are:

1. Illogical Thinking
2. Highly Compartmentalized Minds
3. Double Standards
4. Hypocrisy
5. Blindness to Themselves
6. A Profound Ethnocentrism
7. Dogmatism

You could show them absolute proof that Dick Cheney personally tortured children and they would deny it because their minds can not process that information.
