I already posted this info to the DU Marketplace forum. I hope no one finds it inappropriate for me to post it here as well.
I recently finished and self-published a book on the origin and background behind each of our states' names. Each chapter takes a state name and discusses in great depth the meaning of the word as well as the story behind how it came to name one of our fifty states. It's a work I'm rather proud of, and hope you will find it interesting.
If you're interested in finding out more or ordering a copy, here's my website:
www.MountainStormPress.com
The complete title is "U.S. State Names: The Stories of How Our States Were Named".

I just got my copy and I love it! Fascinating stuff. I am "skipping around" and just read about Idaho - wow.

Idaho was one of my favorite chapters, and since I live in Colorado it hit home--so to speak. Thanks so much for the kind comment!
