I did not watch Courtney Cox's new show Cougar Town so I do not know if it is a good show, but I think the show may have a hard time competing against Glee. In terms of the show itself Glee is not that great of a show, but the music and singing ability of the cast makes watching the show worth while. In addition, it seems that Glee, as the season goes on, is becoming a more watchable show and the musical selections seem to keep getting better. Next week's show will showcase a performance of the song "Somebody to Love". It seems that that performance will be a power house performance.

5. I think 45 fits the bill as a cougar... |

Generally if you're over 40 and hot, you're a cougar. Or a MILF. Or a CILF.

6. Glee seems to be going into interesting territory now. |
|
Some kind of black humor and drama going on, plus some cool liberal storylines.

8. Bounced back and forth between the two, and this is why... |
|
God first gave us VCRS and now all that other good stuff.
Glee isn't exactly black humor, but it is very dark gray, and sometimes hilarious. And I love hating that cheerleading coach.
Cougar Town is rude, crude, and Has its moments. Courtney Cox is a gem in the role, and her friends are hilarious.
Truth is, though, I can't see how either show can keep it up for more than a few episodes-- this is too much like sketch comedy.
(And, I really, really wanted to like Eastwick because the book and the movie were so good, but as hard as the lead actresses try, the writing and the rest of the show just doesn't cut it.)

10. I only caught a few minutes of the end of Glee last night... |
|
...and is the cheerleading coach the blonde Republican asshole who showed up on the evening news, expounding how she tells homeless people "Hey -- why not try not being homeless for a change?"

Is TV still around? I thought it went out decades ago when it was clear that it rotted the brain.

14. The official numbers... |
|
This is from E! Online--not bothering with the link because this is the whole story:
Glee was thrown to the wolves—and cougars—last night.
In its third week, the perpetually peppy high school dramedy faced its first killer test, going up against the premieres of CBS' Criminal Minds, NBC's Law & Order: SVU and ABC's new comedy block, including Courteney Cox's Cougar Town.
It passed.
Glee held steady with 6.6 million viewers, per preliminary Nielsen estimates, dominating among teens and Gossip Girls where Cougar Town (11.6 million) understandably worked the cougar vote.
Criminal Minds (15.4 million) won the night, while the Jay Leno-shuffled SVU (8.4 million) looked a little smaller at 9 p.m.
I'm not sure how Glee can still "pass" the test if their numbers were lower than Cougar Town, unless the CT numbers are considered first-week lookie-loos. If that's the case, then it's the subsequent weeks that will prove whether Glee can continue to stand up to CT.
I have no interest in CT; I am SUCH a huge Glee fan I won't watch anything else! :D

16. I tried watching a few episodes of Glee. I just skip to the musical numbers |
|
For some reason I cant get interested in whats going on with these people on the show. They make me want to punch them when they talk.
I did like that gay kid coming out to his dad and his dad trying to act cool with it. But mostly the storylines are boring. I like most of the musical numbers they do.
