I saw Clapton last night and he was great. Those old fuckers can really play. I took my son and this was his first real concert as an adult(previously saw McCartney and Ringo but he was young). My son was blown away.
I was probably the only one in the crowd who saw Cream, Blind faith, 461 Ocean blvd. tours. I unfortunately and I do mean unfortunately missed Derek and the Dominoes.

And I think Clapton is better now than then. "Back in the day" Clapton stood like a stone and seldom made eye contact with the audience. I thought his recent partnering with Winwood was brilliant, and assuaged my sense of loss re: Blind Faith.
