Wall Street Part Deux - Anyone else see this? |

I have to say - Oliver Stone has zero pity or empathy for the absurdly rich Bankers in the flick. Bud Fox does a cameo and we finally find out what happened to him when he walked up those steps at the end of the first film. And Gekko has some sort of 'The Best He Can Do' redemption at the close of the film. I mean, as far as Gordon Gekko can redeem himself you know?

Because I was a 'little pup' when the Telecom/Dotcom bubble burst. I think the difference between the 226, 27, 28 year olds in the tech bubble versus the banking bubble? We never had an 'expectation' of money. We just got lucky. Because we got 'lucky' - we didn't get into debt with overpriced lofts, condos, cars, etc. etc. I'm not saying NO ONE did that. . . but all I lost was my job and the value of my Global Double Crossing stock. It was interesting to see Shia L's character losing everything.
It's like they thought the party was never going to end.
I hope they learned their lesson - but I fear they won't.
