1. I didn't see it, but any show that hires Sarah Palin's daughter, |
|
and "The Issue" or whatever his name is, probably sucks.

2. Disagree. Just watched the clip. |
|
Booing happened much later than if it had been about her scores. It happened when Tom moved into place next to Mama Grizzly. It doesn't surprise me that that's ABC's official explanation, though.

5. Wasn't it during Jennifer Gray's scoring? Their scores were |
|
good and she did fantastic.
My son wanted to watch it because Kyle <whatever> from Cory in the House was on it. Bristol's dance was lukewarm (at best) compared to the others, but all the judges absolutely gushed all over her. Didn't she come away with straight 8's? Did anyone catch the credits with the one glaring girl clapping very unenthusiastically? She looked so pissed.
My daughter and I have let the rest of the family know we won't be watching it again. YECH!!!

6. The scores were eight while most got sixes and sevens. |
|
The boo's weren't for suboptimal scores.

8. I don't get why anyone cares |
|
I mean a former governor got maybe booed on a freaking dancing contest show. So sad that we're reduced to fighting over what might have happened on a dancing contest than anything of actual importance.

9. I don't even know why anyone watches that corny show |
|
I tried once and found it just horrible. I wouldn't care that they have stars doing all these classic dance styles but then they do it to modern day music instead of real music that goes with the dance.

10. I think I've seen it once |

I also don't watch American Idol or any of the "talent" shows.
I will also admit I don't get the fascination with Glee. It's a show of people doing cover songs. Maybe there's some back story, but I have friends that go on and on about Glee and I just don't get it.
Different strokes for different folks and all.

12. I watched American Idol once because I was too sick to look for the remote |
|
I had Fox on because I suppose I was watching repeats of The Simpsons and Seinfeld. I thought American Idol was just horrid because they don't do anything original on that song. I would love a talent show where musicians were required to play their own instruments and write their own original songs.
I have never watched Glee but from those who have they said it's pretty good. Decent plot lines and good acting. Still not my cup of tea.

11. Because it goes to prove that she's not as popular as she thinks she is,especially |

on a nationally televised FOX show.

14. I think you're conflating Fox broadcast with Fox News |
|
Edited on Tue Sep-28-10 09:13 AM by tammywammy
Very different animals. Fox broadcast also shows Family Guy. Now if one of those silly anchors on Fox News started booing Palin during a speech, that's news.
Her getting maybe booed on a dance contest show, not really news. How many times has it been reported that she has a very high unfavorable rating? The fact that a large part of the American public has a strong distaste for Palin isn't really that surprising.

18. while that is true... |
|
many people don't separate them.
They think one is like the other and it being show on a fox affiliate, is all they need.
So to me, her being boo'd is a good thing, given the area.

15. Nope. It wasn't in the area where the scores were revealed. It was where Palin was. |

Off camera.
ABC is downplaying this and it was their stage runners that shushed the booers.
If I was in a room with Palin, you couldn't stop me from yelling 'quitter' and 'grifter.'

I saw it and the dancers and audiance were happy with the scores (6's are good scores not bad) and were almost done discussing them when the booing started...so yes she was being booed as she came out to sit next to Tom? is that his name? They can say what they want - but the judging was over with minutes before the booing even started...

Normally when the audience dislikes the score, the boo as the scores are given out - not after. So it would be Carrie Ann's score "8" and you would hear a loud "BOO". It has been done before, but not like Monday night. The audience clapped after each "8" was announced. And "8" is a great score in week 2.
