Country of origin: USA/Japan
Year: 2006
Genre: Fucked up
Story: An American travels to Japan to free the woman he loves from a brothel. When he realizes she is no longer there, he hires a deformed prostitute who once knew his love so he can learn what happened to her.
Acting: The American's acting seemed off, but the other people did a good job.
Humor: No intentional humor
Violence: Contains intense torture and some scenes involving dead, human babies.
Sex: Considering the story takes place in a brothel, there is very little sex and nudity.
Overall: Imprint was never aired on TV (Showtime) because of its intense violence and subject matter. The "master of horror" who directed
Imprint was Takashi Miike, one of my favorites. The story is a little slow in the beginning, and the American's acting was off, but overall the story was really entertaining. You can stream it if you have a Netflix account. Check it out if you are in the mood for something vile.
