1. Hasn't it morphed into a typical drug dealing/crime show now? |
|
With guns and stuff? Honestly I don't get it, it isn't something like pot, it's meth.
The original premise was a decent idea, I guess, but now it just seems ugly and wrong.
What am I missing?

2. The way i see it, it's a study of the pressures experienced by a man... |
|
stricken by debilitating disease in the prime of his life in a society with little or no safety net for people in such circumstances and how the resulting necessary decisions can take a man that all of society would call a good man and turn him into a man that all of society would call a bad man. A bad man with all the resultant consequences to society.
I don't know much, and i am certainly not an art/entertainment critic, but i see it as a timely and very relevant story for todays world.

3. So you haven't watched it? Or you have and don't like it? |
|
The writing, acting, and videography are all excellent. The story is interesting and believable.
If it was a happy show about marijuana it wouldn't be 'breaking bad' it would be the first few seasons of 'weeds'.

4. I watched a few episodes last year and have seen the new ads. |

The ads make it look like a typical shoot'em up, drug kingpin type show. Something that I don't really care to watch.
Is he still dying? Or is he just selling meth now?
Edit:I just looked at a synopsis and didn't even know it was in season 4. I guess I missed a lot. Oh well.
I still can't get over the fact that he decided to make meth, which does nothing but kill and destroy life. Maybe that's the ironic point the show is trying to make.

7. Did you watch the last episode last season? It had been a while |
|
and I kept having to think back to what had happened. Without seeing, and remembering, that I could see how it would be slow.

I only watched it a couple of times when I was actively searching for something to watch on a late Sunday night. It was pretty random, but I liked what I saw. Then the show has been getting so much great publicity, that I set an appointment to watch the season premiere, and was thoroughly disappointed. I guess that's how it goes. :)

9. It was basically the second half of a crazy season finale. |
|
The consequences of the previous season. Storywise it made sense but it was slow.
