No joke--I lost both my job and my car last week. And since unemployment claims I owe them money, it would be foolhardy to count on my application being approved. Things are so bad I seriously considered coming here and asking for donations. But first I came to the DU Marketplace to what I could find out about REAL work-at-home jobs.
Well, I read a couple of posts by the owners of online stores, and I figured that I've won enough DUzy awards that I could come up with ideas for buttons and bumper stickers. So I did (in half a day because my lights could go out at any second). More important, I can now ask for donations without embarrassing either of us because I’ll have earned them. And isn't that the American way?
Here’s the store, named
Below The Beltway. Please buy something because I desperately need the money.
I turned to DU for help, and in a roundabout way, you came through once again. Thank you, wish me luck and let's hear it for pulling yourself up by your own bootstraps. It sure beats peering into public bathroom stalls for a living.
