|
that is one of the faults of most political sites imo.. they are closed to people who disagree. healthy debate calls for people from all mindsets and views.

their site.. their rules. i just wanted a site where people of all political beliefs could discuss and debate. i'm not talking about stupid petty flaming and spamming, i'm talking about discussion and debate.

14. Well, Republicans DO tend to have more money than Democrats, so I guess it'll even out in the end. |

16. close mindedness.. it's not just for republicans any more! |

ava's army is political networking website for young people.. of ALL political views.
i for one enjoy healthy debate, which quite frankly i don't get on du. i love du for networking with my fellow dems, but when i want to debate i go somewhere that allows people of all political views to discuss and debate. i wanted to create that for young people to try to encourage them to get involved.
don't like it? don't visit.
btw, i didn't post this in the DU marketplace because i wasn't asking people to buy things. i was asking opinions about the designs which is why it was posted in the lounge.. it's since been moved obviously.

You've got a nice collection from the get-go. (I've been building mine over time).
I can appreciate that you've got not only liberal/progressive-themed designs, but also designs for the independents and undecideds among us. I also like the fact that you've got a lot of "idea" shirts (peace, change, etc.) and quotes and such mixed in with the party-specific stuff. Makes for a good mix.
Also, sell what you want to sell! The contention that every "proud Republican" is somehow responsible for "killing our country" is a bit of a stretch. I know proud conservatives, for example, who, while Republicans, are aghast at what's been done in their name. And from what I can tell, they still have need for shirts and ties and bumper stickers, too. (Of course, I hope your Democrat gear outsells the Republican stuff by a really wide margin! )
Lastly, the idea that you are just interested in money, suggested by some here, is insulting. I thought your post #6 was pretty clear. :) And if it wasn't clear enough... they can always stop by PeaceTakesCourage.
Good luck!

18. Way to go, Ava. I was just telling my niece, who is also from |
|
Alabama, about you. I just sent her this info also. She keeps saying she wants her own business on the internet and I say "check out this kid" - my niece is in her 30's. haha I'm sending this info to everyone I know; and you sell what you want to sell. There's good Republicans and bad Democrats, so......

thumbs up from a fellow Alabamian.(Mobile) Good luck with your venture. As far as the repug stuff, I have had several very successful people tell me that I should offer stuff for both sides of the aisle. From a purely financial standpoint it would be better for me to do so. I do love your explanation of why you are doing so.

I am still trying to get the hang of the "my gallery" thing...
By the time I paint my art (and deal with selling the original etc) get the photos on my zazzle products and listed... I am so burned out I have no energy left for making my gallery looking decent and well managed.
You're doing better than I am --your gallery looks great!
