Wow, gay Pentecostal churches |

Yep, they exist it seems. I found some of these while browsing around on a few directory sites: http://www.ragingfireministries.nethttp://www.newcovenantatlanta.comhttp://www.newlifeinmessiahfellowship.comhttp://www.mightyvisionministries.comhttp://www.pentecostalaffirmingministries.comhttp://www.theredeemedchurchtn.orgAs strange as it seems though I'd consider this a positive development, if LGBT-affirmation can exist even in these circles and not just secular and mainline Protestant ones it shows we are definitely making progress.

2. I'll admit, they look pretty crazy on plenty of other things |
|
Speaking in tongues, faith healing, Rapture/End Times stuff...
But believing crazy things and being accepting and non-bigoted is certainly preferable to not being those things.

3. I would be careful about what they consider to be "accepting." |
|
They could be "accepting" of gay people who stay celibate, for example.

4. Nah, check out the sites. Most are pastored by non-celibate homosexuals |

7. Usually no, not at all |
|
In fact Pentecostals are and still were responsible for starting and running most "ex-gay" programs. In fact it wasn't uncommon and still isn't unheard of for them to preach that homosexuality was caused by demonic possession and demons were the source of homosexual orientation. So often if a child in a family had signs showing that they were gay the church would perform an exorcism over them.

8. I had based my comment on the few Pentecostals that I had known. |
|
Perhaps they weren't typical of most Pentecostals.
Another thing I notices was when they talked about their religious beliefs, there was never any doubt in my mind about their sincerity.

9. I know several Pentecostals who are fairly liberal. |
|
They are not common, but they do exist.
